Two forgotten film rolls. One legendary night.
In 2002, I photographed The Strokes live in Reykjavík on 35mm film. Then the rolls vanished into a box and were never developed. More than twenty years later, I found them again and decided to finally bring them to life — to see if any frames had survived after all this time. Against the odds, one of the films revealed a handful of photographs.
“The Strokes – Reykjavík 2002: Lost & Found” is an analog time capsule — a small but powerful series of previously unseen concert images from that iconic night. This project invites you to step back into an early-2000s evening in Reykjavík, when a New York band was rewriting rock music and a forgotten roll of film was quietly holding onto the memory.
